This project sits in between. Each entry is written to explain what a peptide is, what's actually been studied, and what the evidence does and doesn't support — in plain language, without an agenda to sell anything.
Every entry follows the same structure: mechanism, what the evidence shows, and safety considerations — including an honest account of how thin the human data is for compounds that are still primarily studied in animals or small trials.
We distinguish clearly between FDA-approved medications (like semaglutide or tirzepatide) and unregulated research compounds, because the evidence base, oversight, and risk profile are very different between the two categories.
Mechanism and evidence explained without unnecessary jargon, so entries are useful to curious readers, not just researchers.
Where human trial data is thin or missing, we say so directly rather than implying more certainty than exists.
